PrepTale does not require an account. Finished books and one unfinished recovery draft are stored on the device that created them.
The story draft did not generate
Check the network connection and try again. If the story service is unavailable, PrepTale may show a reviewed text draft for editing. A draft is not a completed paid picture book.
Pictures or narration are incomplete
Return to Home and choose Resume, then retry from Parent Review. PrepTale saves each completed local batch and requests only missing items where possible; an item still in flight when the app closes may need to retry. If the verified draft proof has expired, create a fresh personalized draft before continuing. A book should not be delivered or use a book credit until every illustration and premium narration track is ready.
The device could not save the recovery draft
Free some device storage or remove an older finished book, then retry. PrepTale stops requesting additional paid media when the current draft cannot be written locally. No completed book should be delivered or use a book credit after that stop.
Every media file is ready, but the book is not on the shelf
Open the recovery card and choose Finish delivery. PrepTale checks its anonymous paid-book delivery record before taking any action. If that story was already confirmed, the app only retries the local shelf save—it does not use another credit or regenerate the pictures and narration.
There is no sound
Check the device media volume and silent-mode settings, then tap the narration button again. A device preview voice may be used for accessibility, but it is not the premium narration included in a completed book.
Delete a story
Use the menu on a story card to delete one finished book. Use Discard on the Home recovery card to remove the unfinished book, or open Settings → Data on this device to clear everything. Deletion cannot be undone.
